Chinese President Hu Jintao´s state visit on the eve of the 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Beijing and Manila heralds the dawn of the golden age of Philippines­China relations. (April 26­28, 2005)

Hu´s Bahay Tsinoy visit was not just a tribute to Kaisa Para Sa Kaunlaran´s efforts in putting up the museum, but a tribute to the whole Tsinoy community putting up such a monument to the Tsinoy heritage. Most importantly, he left seeing the Philippines as a country that not only gave the early Chinese immigrants the golden opportunity to succeed, but also a country that wholeheartedly accepts the Tsinoys as part of mainstream society and allows the historical and cultural heritage of the ethnic Chinese to flourish.
